Twelve years ago I met this beautiful young lady at the West Clinic. We worked together in the business office where we shared cubicles. Shanika and I have shared so many memories, but the fondest of them all is the day I asked God to change her language( inside joke, she knows exactly what this means, LOL) . I am grateful for the years we've shared, and now she is able to witness the special day I have been waiting on for 15 years. " My wedding day!"

Charlotte and I crossed paths twenty years ago at United Technologies known as "Carrier". Little did I know ,we would go through life's journeys and more being the best of friends . I am grateful for someone who not only is a true friend, but also someone who is able to pick up where we left off as if we talk everyday. Life can get busy but this never affected our friendship. One interesting fact we share is, we are the only ones I know who places the rear view mirror on themselves while driving instead of the road, LOL.

We shared a crib together growing up when I didn't hog it of course! LOL. My love for this cutie is unconditional. Memory lane is precious starting with our childhood memories as toddlers , me taking her food, us sitting on the kitchen table during my 1st birthday in our lace dresses, summers at our grandparents, hangouts at the candy lady ( Mrs Payne) , high school graduation, and even sharing our pregnancies together ( our oldest children are 4 days apart). I am thankful for the great moments and excited that my first cousin is able to share this precious moment with me.

Where do I begin? I could say a lot but it would only allow me to become more teary eyed than I am right now. If I had to describe Yancy using one word that word would be TRUE . When we first met it was at church. Our relationship grew beyond just the four walls. The years of our spiritual growth and similar life experiences brought our sis hood closer . We've laughed, cried, fussed, shouted, disagreed, prayed, and more. On December 25th, I was surprised beyond measures, just when I thought I couldn't ever be surprised in life. Yancy was the first to witness my proposal. As I said "I do" my sister of another mother was there to witness the journey of hurt to happiness. Even though your biological sister is gone( smiling down on you ) just know you got share the journey with this one.

Nothing like childhood friends that can say" I know her best". Cherita has been here since the Stone ages. We have a history of playing tree house, making bologna sandwiches and lemonade, to running the streets making noise. Cherita has seen my life transform from a troubled past to a bright future, I am thankful that no matter how far she goes our friendship is unconditional and real . Today she will witness her childhood best friend become one. "Pooney" , thank you for supporting me on one of my most important days . Lets do this........

Even though our childhood consisted of being in separate households my sister will forever be my amazing baby. Our mother wasn't able to do a lot but God allowed us to have successful lives. We missed out on a lot together but there is no way you are going to miss out on my big day. As we restore memories always know I am here for you and love you dearly. You and me are never apart. ( I felt a color purple moment) LOL ..

We share a heart of gold. Danielle is one of the sweetest people I know. When I met Danielle it was in the house of the Lord. God knows how to send angels and this was definitely one. Thank you for being so humble, encouraging, and pure about life for others. God has a special plan. When I got engaged you cried with me and now you get to see me cry as I walk down the aisle. Thank you for sharing this moment that I have prayed for with me.
