A beautiful park and walkway right along the Pacific Ocean. You’ll see (and smell) seals and sea lions! This is a popular area to snorkel as it is also a protected marine reserve. A great spot to catch the sunset!
This is our absolute favorite trail located on the cliffs above Torrey Pines State Beach. It is about a 2.5 mile “hike”, but generally considered an easy route. Pro tip: plan your hike around low tide and take the beach trail down and walk back along the beach.
This is an amazing neighborhood to explore—and where we’d recommend dining before our welcome party on Friday! Some of our favorite dinner spots are: Herb & Wood, Barbusa, King & Queen Cantina, Craft & Commerce, Ironside Fish & Oyster, Juniper & Ivy. This is also a hotspot for great cocktails: Nolita Hall, Wolfie’s Carousel Bar, Kettner Exchange, Born & Raised. Lastly, LI even has great breakfast spots and on Saturday mornings a phenomenal Farmer’s Market!
This charming and historic island is home to the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, which is THE place to visit on the island. Enjoy drinks on the beach at the Del (highly recommend their piña colada). Then walk around and see the gorgeous homes. We also love The Henry for brunch or dinner.
Stop by for killer sunset views or oceanfront yoga every Saturday and Sunday at 10 AM (Yoga with Steve)!
The San Diego Zoo is near downtown in Balboa Park. We love to stroll around and see the animals!
This is our favorite taco spot! It is a classic SD staple. Be prepared for a long line, but we promise it is worth it! The Al Pastor is our favorite taco and they are famous for their California Burrito.
Our go-to in La Jolla Shores for a great meal and good vibes. Ask to sit on the patio (they have heaters)!
If we are going to sushi…there is no other option.
Grab a cocktail on the roof during sunset!
Carly’s order: iced vanilla oat milk latte 1/3 sweet. They make their own vanilla powder and it is delicious! Better Buzz has locations around San Diego—grab a coffee if you see one!
Our Sunday night routine is to take Jeni to the Encinitas dog park and then go to Fish-101. If you want to explore a quaint California beach town then it is worth the drive to Leucadia!
A great breakfast spot! Pro Tip: join the Yelp waitlist and then go for a stroll around the village.
Phenomenal ocean views with a side of bacon! Grab breakfast here and watch the surfers.
Sadly they do not make anything gluten free, but our gluten eating friends say it is incredible! Pro tip: order ahead online and take your pastries down to Calumet Park for ocean views.
