Is there a dress code?

Will the ceremony take place outside?

Answer

Yes! We are getting married at the Canalfront Park in Lewes. The ceremony will be on loose packed gravel. Throughout the day, you will traverse gravel, grass, boardwalk, sidewalks and even the deck of the Thelma Dale!

Does the venue have an elevator?

Answer

Unfortunately, The Wheelhouse does not have an elevator. In order to get to the venue, guests will have to ascend a set of stairs. This staircase has a landing for those that need to rest halfway.

Where do we park?

Answer

Guests may park in the shared parking lots behind the Wheelhouse. If it is full, there is additional parking further down the street, as well as open parking in the residential area behind the Hotel Blue. Please take note of any signage designated restricted parking areas.

How do we get to the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony is a short walk across the drawbridge. Most guests will find the scenic stroll pleasurable and easy. For those who would like, a shuttle bus will make a couple of trips between the Wheelhouse and the Canalfront Park.

How do we get back to the Wheelhouse (and the Thelma Dale IV)?

Answer

The wedding will process up Front Street, across the bridge and onto the Thelma Dale IV. The shuttle will also be making a couple of trips for those who would like a ride.

What if I don't want to go on the boat?

Answer

All good, You can wave to us from the upper deck of The Wheelhouse! It will be open and would love to host you while the others are one the cruise.
