Tucker and I met the summer of 2018. We met at the same gym we had cohabited for years. On June 9th we had our first date, a hike to Vanhook Falls, on June 20th we were official, and by June 29th we said our very first goodbye when he left for BEAST (West Point basic training). For 6 weeks we wrote letters back and forth as our only source of communication. At the end of those 6 weeks I traveled to NY to see him for his acceptance ceremony into USMA. When he was finally in my arms again, I knew that the distance would always be worth it. Tucker asked me to marry him on Christmas Eve 2019 while on vacation in Destin, Fl. Our love story has been anything but typical and full of challenges, but the distance has given us a love that is patient and is long-suffering (1 Cor. 13:4-8). It has strengthened our faith in the God who drew us together and kept us together, even in the long stretches of this long distance. We can honestly say that He has been so so faithful to us. As we draw near to our big day, we want to give him all the recognition and thanks for placing us together. After countless goodbyes, thousands of Facetime calls, and dozens of quick weekend trips together, we are beyond ready to start our life together. We are so ready to be the Martins!
