Katiria and Jose's journey began in the fall of 2021 in Denver, though it wasn’t love at first sight—it was destiny waiting for the perfect moment. Katiria, who was balancing her dreams of singing while managing a local restaurant, and Jose, working as a chef in an elevated restaurant right across the street, crossed paths countless times. Though they unknowingly passed by each other day after day, their connection didn’t spark until Katiria decided to make the first move. They spoke for weeks before their first date, exchanging stories and laughter that made them feel as if they’d known each other for years. Jose was in California visiting family when, driven by excitement, curiosity and even thoughts of 'is this too good to be true?', he decided to leave early just so he could meet with Katiria. With her love for the arts, Katiria invited Jose to their first date at The Van Gogh Exhibition. From that moment, everything changed. What started as one date blossomed into something much more, and soon enough, the dates never ended. Before long, they decided to take a leap and move in together. They adopted their beautiful cat, Masha, and later on, Theo, an energetic corgi, to their growing family, making their home complete. They began creating a life filled with love and shared dreams. As time passed, Katiria moved to Mendota to support Jose's passion for the culinary arts. Together, they bought their first house and opened their first business—a milestone they cherished.
