A small place to Tiki on the south side of Forth Worth, and part of our very first date. Plenty of food and shops on that same street (and a board game cafe if you wander down south far enough).
Don't worry, it won't be all bars. 4 Kahunas is our go to tiki bar in DFW. Perfect for playing games, getting great drinks, and relaxing the day away. If you're going, ask them to make you a banana dolphin.
For those looking for a more Texas experience. A true, award winning, Texas BBQ experience not too far from the wedding venue. Show up early (or just order to go). The line will be long and the place will be packed. But it's worth it. They make a real mean burger as well.
Speaking of Texas experiences, no cowboy wish list would be complete without a visit to the Fort Worth Stokyards. Daily cattle drives, good food, handmade boots and hats, the largest honkey tonk in Texas... what more could a person ask for?
A place we've eaten more than just about anywhere in DFW. A little out of the way from the venue, but if you're looking for some delicious greasy tacos and top notch queso, this is the place to be.
Part museum, part playground, part alternate reality acid trip, Meow Wolf is an art exhibit unlike any others. We've managed to make it to 4 out of the 5 locations in the US, though it helps that this one is walking distance from our apartment.
