It started with an early morning, plans to go to the Gaylord National Resort to celebrate the New Year. Of course by nature, Alex had to go and do something... unexpected. He squeezed a coffee from the Starbucks drive through just a little too hard and BOOM, coffee everywhere! Including on his very nice outfit. So after a quick trip back home to change, we finally got back on the road to our romantic celebration. Of course we got there and our room wasn't ready.... so we explored the beautiful resort which was still bejeweled with Christmas decorations. We had a few drinks and something to eat in the Atrium, but little did Katira know, it was where i would later ask her to "Marry Me". We finally got into our room, put on our special outfits for the night. Alex looking snazzy and Katira as beautiful as ever and so fourth they shared a romantic dinner at the harbor. Coming back to the resort, it was time for photos! *wink wink* Except Katira's heels weren't being so friendly to her feet so we stopped at the room to change shoes. It was their Katira found Alex, sweating, laying on his back staring at the ceiling in a full suit twiddling the beautiful ring in his pocket contemplating if it was the right day after that, ugh, coffee incident. They finally head down stairs and enter the brightly lit, sparkly, vast Atrium. Waited for the area to clear for photos and claimed our special spot. Alex handed his phone to the nearest person and asked if they could take some pictures. It was then he grabbed her by the hand, mustered the courage to say his special words and asked her to marry him. Without hesitation, she said "Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes!" We can not wait to share this milestone with you all... the start to our forever!
