We have our close friends (and bridesmaid and groomsman) to thank for our union! We met in July of 2022 at a friend’s birthday party before a San Jose Giants game. What began as a brief chat in the beer line quickly turned into effortless conversation, where we discovered our many shared interests, mutual friends, and—surprisingly—that we had lived just blocks from each other during our undergrad years at Sonoma State University without ever crossing paths! That one birthday party soon turned into many dinner dates in San Francisco, brewery explorations in Boulder Creek, concerts, and more. When Josh was accepted to the University of Vermont to pursue his Doctorate in Physical Therapy, we embarked on a two-year long-distance journey. San Francisco and Boulder Creek weekends became trips to Boston and Cape Cod, virtual cooking dates and a shared calendar counting down the days until we could be together again. In June of 2025, Josh returned home to the West Coast for his clinical rotations, and we finally had the chance to begin our life together. A few short months later, on November 8th, Josh planned a “brunch date" in San Francisco. Just a few steps into our walk along the bay on our way to “brunch,” Josh got down on one knee—and the rest is history! We are eternally grateful to Lauren and Jared for bringing us together, and for the unwavering love and support of our family and friends throughout our journey. We are overjoyed to begin this next chapter of our lives and to celebrate with all of our favorite people.
