The entire event (concert, ceremony, reception) will take place outside at our small farm. - All guests are welcome, regardless of vaccination status. - For both the ceremony and dinner we will offer areas that allow for safer spacing, however, we will not require that our guests wear masks or social distance. - As of now, we are expecting around 200 guests. - Please let us know if you have specific requests or concerns. We would be happy to talk through them with you. - We recognize that we are in the middle of another COVID wave. We genuinely encourage you to make a decision that feels safe and comfortable for you. Please let us know if you can't make it - we completely understand.
YES SO MUCH! Sorry to be so complicated but we are about 2 hours (minimum) away from Seattle. You can either drive around through Tacoma or take the ferry. Unfortunately the ferry schedule can get pretty crazy during the summer. Often there is up to a 2 hour wait both ways. We have found that the Seattle/Bainbridge ferry is often better than the Edmonds/Kingston. Please factor the ferry craziness in as you make your travel plans and if you plan to take the ferry, check the ferry cameras online. Driving around through Tacoma and avoiding the ferry altogether is often the most reliable route (especially if you are coming directly from the airport.) If you are planning on going back to Seattle the night of the wedding, the ferries run until about midnight. Plan ahead.
Please note there are NO UBERS, LYFTS, or TAXIS in our area! We have hired a taxi service (only 3 cars) to take people home (for free) after the wedding from 9pm to 12am. To get a ride, wait at the designated sign (it will be lit up!) and call Peninsula Taxi at 360-385-1872. Rides are not guaranteed so we do encourage carpooling and assigning a designated driver. If you are hoping for a ride to the wedding, or to/from the concert on Friday, Peninsula Taxi has agreed to be available, so feel free to give them a call. Probably best to schedule it ahead of time. We have not officially hired them for these times so guests will need to pay the taxi company directly.
Our dress-code is farm-chique! But really, wear whatever you want. The concert (Friday) is totally casual. We expect that most guests will be fairly dressy the day of the wedding (Saturday) but we don't care at all what you wear. However, we do hope you wear comfy shoes (and definitely not stilettos) - our wedding will be outside, there will be a fair amount of soft earth and walking.
If we allotted a plus one for you, your invite should have both names on it. For some folks we weren't sure of your plus one's name, but you will be prompted to enter it when you RSVP on our site. Otherwise, we would prefer just you! Please let us know if you have any questions.
Sorry, but no. We would prefer no dogs here for either day - the concert or the wedding. Thank you for understanding!
There is parking at the farm, but we encourage carpooling if possible.
We are planning on a buffet style dinner - TACOS! There will be fish (not GF), veggie and pork, as well as a variety of sides. You can choose in real-time what you do and do not want to eat. We will have gluten-free, dairy-free, and vegetarian options. We will have GF dessert options but no dairy free dessert options.
Yes!
There is absolutely no pressure or expectation to come! We recognize how difficult it is to make decisions around social events and we completely respect whatever decision feels right for you or your family. We love you no matter what!
