We're Getting Married!

We met just like any other modern love story starts.. online dating! We first 'swiped right' on each other in Spring 2019 on Hinge. Although we exchanged a few messages, the timing was off & things just fizzled out. Fast forward to the end of July 2019 fate would have it that we would match yet again! This time, we started talking & soon thereafter decided to meet up for drinks at World of Beer. You can say things went pretty well that night; we never stopped talking after that first date. We've always considered that day (8/4/2019) as our 'anniversary'.

We love to travel & are trying to visit all 50 states; so in July we decided to plan a road trip to NOLA, so we could cross off a couple of states & meet up with friends. This trip so happened to fall on our 4 year anniversary.. We decided to split the 1st leg up into two days, making an overnight stay in Destin, FL so we could enjoy the beautiful beaches. ..Little did Katie know, Perry had decided to (finally) pop the question that night before meeting up with friends the following day. After a day at the beach, we went to enjoy a nice dinner on the beach (the server held us up & made us almost miss the sunset). Once we got the check, we walked the boardwalk to the beach & wandered a little so we could be away from the crowds; that is when Perry got down on a knee 3 days shy of our 4 year anniversary & proposed! We then celebrated all weekend long with our friends in NOLA.
