The city is transforming every day and we are so happy to be a part of the movement. Detroit brought us together and for that we are forever grateful.
We met in June of 2014 in Hamtramck Michigan eating tacos on a Thursday. It was a weekly tradition for our group of friends to get together and enjoy lite beer and cheap tacos at Kelly's. It wasn't love at first site, in fact Katie swiped left on John. They exchanged SnapChat handles and before you knew it John was asking for Katie's number in a clever (yet cheesy) way by way of writing "I lost my number can I have yours" on a sticky note. After a few months we knew the chemistry was undeniable and there was something special. It wasn't until May of 2015 that we finally said "I love you" and of course, it was while we were on our death bed suffering from a Noro Virus. If that doesn't scream love, I don't know what else does. On May 23, 2018 John got down on one knee and asked for Katie's hand in marriage in front of their closest family and friends in Beacon Park. We're so excited to say 'I do' on September 1, 2019!
