Rhino (River North District-20 Minute Walk from The Maven) Breweries: Our Mutual Friend, Improper City, Ratio Food/Drinks: The Woods, Denver Central Market, Death & Co, Redemer Pizza. Shopping: Cute shops all along Larmier Street Cherry Creek (10 Minute Uber/Drive) Denver's chicest neighborhood with a MALL Food/Drink: Forget me Not, Local Jones, Avaino Coffee, Rare Bird (ROOF) Shopping: Cherry Creek Mall, Outdoor Shopping Up and Down the Streets Lohi (Lower Highlands) Neighborhood (Walkable from The Maven) "Cool Kid Neighborhood" Food/Drinks: Recess Beer Garden, Avanti (go to the roof for the views and drinks), Bindery (for Brunch), Lady Jane, Bar Dough, Family Jones, Williams and Graham (speakeasy), Little Man Ice-cream (FAMOUS MUST GO), Linger (for the views), Wooden Spoon (quick breakfast) Golden (20 minutes from The Maven near the Foothills) Food/Beverage: Golden Mill, North Terrian Brewery *You can walk up and down the main street and explore for shopping and drinks
Parks and Walking for Views
If you're looking to grab a cup of coffee and go on stroll or feel like getting fresh air without huffing and puffing by gaining elevation, these are the best parks/lakes with a view to walk around. South Platte River Trail You can walk from The Maven to Commons Park (5-10 minutes) and take the trail. If you walk across the River, there are places to get coffee and explore. Commons Park has great views of the mountains, Broncos Stadium and the City. Sloan's Lake Loop (2.6 Mile Loop-45 Minute-1 Hour walk) PARKING: Free Parking in the Lots. UBER: Put in The Patio in Sloans Lake City Park (2.9 Mile Loop-1 Hour-1.5 Walk) PARKING: Free Parking in the Lots. UBER: Put in "City Park" and it will drop you off anywhere that would work! Washington Park (2.3 Mile Loop-40 minutes-1 Hour walk) PARKING: Free Parking in the Lots. UBER: Put in "Washington Park" and it will drop you off anywhere that would work!
Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre
Whether you are here for the views, the vibes, or just pretend you're outdoorsy for a little bit-it's an iconic MUST SEE...and yes your calves will be sore (so get dropped off at the top in the North Parking Lot). There is a concert Saturday night, October 4th, 2025, so get there bright and early before they close it off to the public. Grab a coffee and watch the sunrise. Just a short (20 minute Uber/Drive) Friday, Saturday or Sunday.
Denver Botanic Gardens
Like walking into a rom-com montage, but with fewer pigeons and more succulents. If you have the time, this is a staple of Denver. Check-out their website for tickets on the day you want to go and the time and you can knock this out in less than (2) hours. Only a (13) minute drive from The Maven.
Around the Hotel
If you step outside the hotel or even behind in at Milk Market alley, there is a ton to do and see within 5-10 minutes: Things to Do/See: Union Station -inside the train station, you can get drinks/food/just really pretty. Commons Park, McGregor Square, 16th Street Mall -fun, but not a top thing to do in Denver Food/Drinks OUTSIDE of The Maven: Cruise Room, The Wild (for coffee OR drinks later), Hello Darling (coffee by the park), Ajax Salons for Women on Wedding Day for a Blow Out: The Parlour-right downtown. There is also a Dry Bar in Cherry Creek.
