These two love bunnies met after a quick match and message session via the amazing dating app Tinder while they were living in New Jersey! Their first date was at a cute little bar in Hoboken, NJ where they bonded over the time they spent growing up in different parts of Ohio. Matt felt so good about Katie that he kissed her during this first date and insists to this day that Katie just couldn't resist him. A few days later they had their second date at one of Matt's favorite restaurants La Lanterna near Washington Square Park in NYC. They shared pizza, wine and were serenaded by a live Jazz band. Katie knew he was the one that very night! After dating for a little over a year Matt moved to Brooklyn. Now, Katie definitely didn't follow him but she did move a few blocks away shortly after Matt left Jersey. These two lucky ducks also survived a two year quarantine living and working together in their cozy two bedroom in Bedstuy, Brooklyn with no hot water (seriously no hot showers). In the midst of the chaos Matt planned a bike ride to Central Park where he proposed near Bethesda Terrace (which is the place in Home Alone 2, one of his favorite all-time movies, where Kevin escapes from the bandits in the back of the horse drawn carriage). Katie said yes and the rest is history!
