We eloped!

We had the most amazing adventure in the Azores! We hit the ground running on day one, touring the island. We saw volcanoes, black beaches, native flora and fauna. We tasted Azorean pineapple and wines. We hiked down to the ocean, through wildflower fields, and along rocky cliffs. Then we had the most magical day! I finally got to wear my white dress - and marry the man of my dreams! Cody got his "first look" along the coastline, I walked down a hydrangea filled aisle, we danced under waterfalls, hiked a caldera, shared our vows, and popped champagne!

After only a few months of dating we thought it would be a great idea to spend the week in New York. I told Katie I really wanted to eat at Le Bernardin while we were there. But unfortunately it was completely booked and impossible to get a reservation at. While we were sitting at the airport waiting to board our plane, she surprised me with a reservation! I had been stalking the website to try to get a cancellation and it just didnt seem possible. I can only imagine how many times a day she was checking the website. Thats when I knew I had a special girl!!!! After the fast pace of the city for a few days we went to upstate New York for a few days as well. We had all the plans for the city but didnt really have any plans for upstate. After the few days in upstate I knew I not only had a special girl but that I had the girl. We didnt have a plan in the world but were able to just have so much fun in each others company in the middle of nowhere. -Cody

Everything Hinged on that first drink at Decantery on Amelia Island! I was running late from patient care and Cody had an expresso martini waiting for me. We talked for hours covering every topic, debating zoos with another couple at the bar, and immediately made plans for a second date. Picking a restaurant to take a chef to is daunting. I chose my favorite spot, Burlingame. We were the first table seated and the last to leave. The rest is history! - Katie
