KB and Jon like to say they met on the “World Wide Web”. The Hinge algorithm worked its magic and even though they were in different cities (Greenville, SC and Charlotte, NC respectively) they felt a special connection and spark between each other. Excited to meet KB in-person, Jon hopped on I-85 for a brunch date in Greenville and proceeded to be 30 minutes late not expecting the atrocious traffic that clogged the interstate that day. Fortunately KB had the grace and patience to hold the fort down at the restaurant until Jon arrived belatedly on the scene! Brunch turned into a 6 hour date exploring downtown Greenville together and the rest is history!
Jon wanted to create a special memory for KB by proposing in his hometown of Newport Beach, California. With both sets of parents in on the secret and knowing KB’s love for the beach, Jon decided to pop the question at a popular local beach called Little Corona. Aided by his high school classmate who’s a professional photographer, Jon and KB were able to enjoy this special moment during the golden hour of a perfect Southern California summer day! To top things off, KB’s brother and sister-in-law surprised her at the ensuing dinner celebration at 5 Crowns, a favorite restaurant of the Mandala’s where many family milestones have been celebrated before-including weddings, anniversaries, and graduations.
