This is an overall easy hike, with well-maintained trails and just a few steeper sections. Great views of Los Angeles, and the famous Hollywood Sign! There is a parking lot at the Observatory (which tends to fill up fast) but there is also parking all along the road leading up to the Observatory, on West Canyon Road. Or park down on Fern Dell Road for a longer hike. Drive time: 30 - 45 min from Pasadena.

The Getty Museum is a world famous attraction, well known for its architecture, gardens, and views overlooking Los Angeles. Located on a campus of 24 acres in the Santa Monica Mountains, this is a must see for art, architecture, and botanical lovers alike! There is a visitors' parking garage at the bottom of the hill, from which you travel by a three-car, cable-pulled hovertrain people mover. Drive time: 45 - 80 min from Pasadena.
The Broad is a contemporary art museum in downtown Los Angeles offering free general admission and an active program of rotating exhibitions. Book ahead of time to see the most popular attraction, the Infinity Room! Drive time: 20 - 40 min from Pasadena.
Descanso Gardens is a 150-acre botanical garden located in La Cañada Flintridge - right around the corner from our wedding venue! It's a lovely and quiet place to walk around and soak up nature. The garden features native oak trees, a rose garden, Japanese Garden, and one of the largest collections of camellias in the world. Drive time: 10 - 20 min from Pasadena.
The Walk of Fame, the famous star-studded path, runs 1.3 miles east to west on Hollywood Boulevard from Gower Street to La Brea Avenue. We recommend starting at TCL Chinese Theatre and working east. On the route you can check out the Madame Tussauds Hollywood, Ripley's Believe It or Not!, and a multitude of other attractions. Drive time: 30 - 50 min from Pasadena.
A stroll down Rodeo Drive is an adventure in luxury and opulence. It's window shopping at it's best, with elaborate window displays and endless high-end designer brands. Treat yourself, and live like a celebrity (for a little while at least!) Drive time: 50 - 90 min from Pasadena.
White sand beaches, amusement park rides, and breathtaking ocean views - Santa Monica Pier is a staple of the Los Angeles experience. Plenty of great brunch, lunch, and dinner options in the area. Check out 3rd Street Promenade (just a few blocks inland for shopping and dining). Take a walk along the waves, there's easy beach access from all around the Pier. Just don't forget your sunscreen!
