COVID-19 & FAQs

We'll use this page to present updates to our wedding weekend as they occur. COVID-19 related uncertainties are causing us a few planning delays. We appreciate your patience while we firm up all the details.
Question

COVID-19 note from the vendor - Blackstone Rivers Ranch

Answer

"As we must operate under restaurant guidelines, staff is required to wear masks, but there is no requirement for our clients or their guests to wear masks. It is only a recommendation. Our venue recommends, but does not require them. We will test the temperature of our staff and vendors upon arrival. If our clients choose to have their guests’ temperatures tested upon arrival, it is entirely at their discretion." June 9, 2020

Question

Will your temperature be taken when you arrive?

Answer

Yes, everyone will have their temperatures taken as they enter the venue. In the event your temperature reads higher than 100.5 F, please understand our required request that you plan to celebrate with us at a later date.

Question

Will face masks be required?

Answer

While the entire event will be outdoors, face masks will be encouraged and required when using the bathroom areas of the venue and when 6-foot social distancing is not possible. Please feel comfortable to wear your mask at all times. Event staff and vendors will be wearing face masks.

Question

How will social distancing work?

Answer

We've changed our reception size down to 60 people (venue capacity - 220 people). This switch allows for more social distance during the ceremony and while eating. The ceremony and dinner will be outside and bathrooms will be inside. We ask that you wait for restroom availability outside instead of within the hallway. The evening will end after dinner around 8 pm and we'll save dancing for another post-COVID celebration.

Question

How often will the venue be cleaned?

Answer

Blackstone Rivers Ranch staff will clean and disinfect the restrooms and all high traffic areas and surfaces every 10-15 minutes.

Question

Will there be a 'zoom' or other digital stream and login to view the ceremony?

Answer

We are confirming with the venue how to make this happen and will update the website accordingly the week of September 14, 2020.

Question

When will you know if you are postponing to 2021?

Answer

We will know the week of September 14, 2020 if we are postponing to 2021. We will send out an email update, only as required.

Question

When and how will dietary restrictions be considered?

Answer

Once we confirm final dinner plans with the venue ~30 days before the wedding, we will include an update on the wedding website or will send you a direct email. Thank you for your patience.

Question

What shoes are best for the venue?

Answer

Parts of the venue will be graveled. Feel free to favor wedge heels over stilettos.
