How we met

Her point of view

It all started with a super like on a dating app! Who would have thought that dating apps would be the way of finding love today but for us it is true. I had been though my fair share of men or should I say boys on the dating app and then a super like came through and caught my eye. I read his profile and low and behold we both actually went to the same college. When we start chatting it turns out we were both at Berry at the same time too but never met (who would have thought at a small private school that we wouldn't have come across each other). From there the words were easy and we seemed to have a lot to talk about and met in person at one of our now favorite places! The rest is history!

How we met

His point of view

A story is not a story because it is a story. It has a beginning, a middle and an end. It shows one purpose and we find meaning somehow, whether good or bad. This story is about my happily-ever-after and how I found the woman of my dreams. Before I met her I felt like I was going through the motions. I had been on the on-line dating scene for awhile and not been too successful. One day a profile popped up which I only needed a few details to “superlike” Katie. Her picture drew me in, Berry College graduate intrigued me and then it just so happened her age changed before my eyes. I knew she had a birthday recently. Without hesitation I asked when it was and the conversation continued from there. We talked about our love for cheesecake, shenanigans at Berry College, our goals and dreams, our work lives and how that was our primary focus for so long. I didn’t even ask for her number, ya’ll! Soon after, we went from messaging online to texting. First date became every weekend, months became years. Katie invited me to a foxhunt which I had never heard of; it’s a horse thing and I remember freezing sitting in the tallyhoe wagon/trailer drawn by a tractor. This was a thing for her and I felt like I got drawn in to her world. I would not be the same afterwards. That was the day I fell in love with Katie, but I couldn’t muster the courage to say for some time. I never thought that would happen. I figured I was better off on my own, me and my dogs, working, eating, sleeping and repeat. I am now convinced I was totally wrong. Katie has done more for my life than I will admit. She’s my purpose to life and my joy. She’s my everything and I’d be lost without her, even when I know I have to do the dishes! From that moment at the cabin when I said “I love you” to when I proposed at Sadler’s Park I knew our story didn’t end. My love for her would not end. She’s my happily ever after, now and forever. I love you, Katie, always have and always will! I cannot wait to call you my wife!
