Hello loved ones! Katie's best friend's mother, Karen LeFever, is kind enough to run the ZOOM session on June 27th for all of you that are unable to attend the wedding ceremony in person. You will find the link to the ZOOM session below. Karen has a premium account, so there is no need to worry about the ZOOM session limiting participants or cutting the stream short. Please try to log on and join the ZOOM session around 4:30 PM. The ceremony does not begin until 5:00, but it is probably best for everyone to join the session and get set up. Karen will be available to answer any questions you may have about ZOOM between 4:30 and 4:45. Here is the ZOOM Link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/7734849178 Meeting ID: 773 484 9178 ** Please note that you will need to copy and paste the link on a different tab. Virtually attending the wedding ceremony is simply not the same, but we are thankful that technology allows for you all to still be a part of our special day. Taylor and Katie love you all- see you at the alter!
Like all of you, we are deeply saddened by the pandemic. On a very personal level, we have come to the realization that our big day will certainly look quite different than originally anticipated. With lots of debate and consideration, we made the decision to move forward with our wedding on June 27th, 2020. Due to the current climate, Taylor and I have been forced to narrow our guests list tremendously. To abide by county protocols and state law, and in an effort to keep our loved ones healthy and safe, we are only planning to have our immediate families and some close friends attend the ceremony and the reception on June 27. We are ready to begin our married life together and this decision feels right to us, though it is difficult to not have some of the most beloved individuals beside us on our special day. We appreciate the grace that you are extending to us. Please know how difficult decision making has been for Taylor and I throughout this process. So that all of our guests can be a part of our day, the ceremony will be recorded. Also, there will be a ZOOM link shared with those unable to attend the ceremony in person so you can virtually participate with us! At the wedding itself, we will set things up in a way that allows for more social distancing, sanitation, and overall safety. Masks will be provided for our guests if they desire to wear one. We feel blessed to be able to have this event outdoors on a beautiful and spacious property that allows us to make these accommodations. For those that are unable to attend, we will plan a celebration for us to gather when the world is tipped back to "normal". We love each and every one of you with our whole hearts and sincerely care about your comfort and safety above all else. We look forward to a beautiful celebration of our love and commitment to one another. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your love, care, and support in these crazy times. - Katie & Taylor
Taylor and Katie met in 2014 through their mutual friend, Mitch. Taylor was in a different relationship at the time, as was Katie. Though neither of them were available, there was certainly a spark between the two of them from day one. As time went on and both of those previous relationships faded away, Katie and Taylor began getting to know one another better. On August 13th, 2016, Taylor and Katie decided to commit to one another as they began dating. In August of 2017, Taylor moved to Scottsbluff to attend nursing school at the University of Nebraska. For two years, Katie and Taylor navigated a-long term relationship. This meant lots of driving, lots of patience, and lots of missing one another. Though a long-distance relationship was difficult for both parties, the love between Katie and Taylor only grew stronger, and their assurance in their relationship solidified. Now, Taylor and Katie prepare to be man and wife. The two of them work incredibly well together as a couple, they share in countless laughs, and they look forward to building a family in future years. Finding love is a beautiful and rare gift- these two feel so incredibly lucky to have met their marvelous match!
Katie and Taylor decided to take a trip to Zion National Park for Spring Break 2019. In Katie's mind, the getaway would be a way to celebrate Tay's 30th birthday. Although this was true, Taylor had bigger plans. The couple took many hikes and saw breathtaking scenery throughout the trip, but Taylor just didn't feel like any of the locations were the right fit for his proposal. On their final day, Katie and Taylor made the decision to rent gear so that they could hike through the cold water in the Narrows. The Narrows was unbelievably beautiful. There was one spot in particular that was especially scenic, complete with a waterfall and sunlight peering in to the canyon. THIS WAS THE SPOT! Taylor asked Katie if she wanted to get a picture, so she passed her phone off to a fellow hiker to photograph the two of them in front of the waterfall. Before Katie knew it, Taylor was on one knee, requesting her hand in marriage. Fortunately the stranger was familiar with iPhones, and captured the entire proposal. Even more importantly, Taylor was sincere and endearing in his words, and Katie could not be more sure that this is the man she would marry. Taylor chose the ring all on his own, which Katie LOVED! It even fit her finger perfectly. It is safe to say that the proposal was simply magical. Taylor and Katie cannot wait to say their vows in front of each and every one of you! June 27th will be the most special day of their lives, and they look forward to sharing the love with you all.
