We were both born and raised in our favourite place, North Bay, and attended middle school and high school together; however, our story started later. Our paths crossed during Katie's last years in university in Toronto and during the start of Taylor's career in Windsor. The first time we hung out together was with friends at the Santa Clause Parade in Toronto in 2015. Afterwards, Katie developed somewhat of a crush on Taylor and although her attempts to flirt with Taylor at the following New Year's Eve party went unnoticed, she persisted. With a little bit of help from rum punch, Katie caught Taylor's attention during a night out in North Bay in February of 2016. To follow was many long car/bus rides between Toronto, Windsor, and of course North Bay, until we were both able to call Sudbury our home. On October 8th, 2019, Taylor proposed to Katie during a hike at the Lake Laurentian Conservation Area and of course Katie said "Yes!" Even though Taylor was certain he wanted to marry Katie within a year of his proposal, COVID-19 had other plans. Fast track a year later and we are so excited to (finally) be getting married in the city we both consider home, in our parents' backyards and surrounded by our amazing family. Thank you for supporting us throughout our story and we look forward to sharing the next chapter with all of you.
