We know we are living in uncertain times but one thing we can count on is the love we have for one another and for all if you! As of now, our wedding will go as planned, however, it is now completely outside. Our venue is large and secluded, leaving everyone with a lot of space to spread out. The staff at the venue will all have their temperatures checked and be wearing masks throughout the event. While we won’t be requiring our guests to wear masks we will be providing them to do so if they would like. All of the being said, we want everyone to be comfortable on our big day and completely understand if you will not be able to make it. For those of you that plan to come, we cannot wait to see you there and if you won’t be joining us in person, we know you’ll be supporting us from afar! All of our love, Katie & Spencer
If you’ve ever been to a bar down the Jersey Shore, you can probably imagine where this story is going. One beautiful night in Manasquan we ended up at the same jam packed bar in somewhat matching shirts and found our way to one another. By that we mean, Katie’s friend (thank you Haley) convinced Katie to go speak to Spencer so she walked up to him at the bar and bought him a shot of Jameson. The rest of the night was spent head banging to 90s rock, if that’s not a true love story we don’t know what is.
The love story at the Jersey Shore continued 3 years later when we planned what Katie thought was her birthday weekend in Ocean Grove. After the most beautiful day on the beach, Spencer and his sister, Shannon, got Katie out of the house to “grab a drink with his parents”. As we walked towards Asbury park, Spencer pulled Katie out onto the sand and the rest is history. 30 minutes later, we returned to the house filled with family and closest friends to celebrate the best day of our lives. We left that house with a noise violation, but we left ENGAGED!
