When Katie first met her sister in law, she told her brother Matthew that she'd be friends with her regardless of whether they were married or not. Katie and Kristian have been all over the world together! Japan, Hawaii, Cambodia, California and of course the Dakotas. Katie loves to show up randomly and surprise Kristian.

Matt and Katie's favorite game used to be slaps only but it scared the kids so they had to stop. Matt is a very talented artist. Fun Fact: Matt used to do Katie's art homework.

One of Katie's favorite people on earth is her Grandma Pam Howe. When Katie moved to Virginia she and Gramma Pamma road tripped! They also took a trip up to Chinquoteague to see the wild horses. Katie and her Grandma are very alike. They're love for dogs and horses runs deep.
