Katie and Scott met as servers at Sunset Grill and Tap in Boston. While the timing wasn't right for the two of them then, they both became part of a close knit circle of friends. Scott moved back home to San Diego in 2016, thinking that his Boston chapter had ended. But shortly after, Katie and the rest of the group made the move west to So Cal, looking for a fresh start. This group of friends continued to make stronger relationships with each other through plenty of beach hangs, bar hopping, and questionable weekend getaways during the pandemic, Katie and Scott's friendship soon grew to be more. They bonded over being creative in the kitchen, seeking the latest greatest IPAs, and watching the sunset together near their first apartment in Oceanside. They bought a house together in 2024 and enjoy spending time there together, doing endless house projects, and making Vista their home. They look forward to continuing their journey together in this beautiful city, but mostly they cannot wait to share their special day in June with family and friends.
