FAQs

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Formal attire is encouraged, but please wear whatever you feel most comfortable in!

Question

I saw you're having a 5k the morning of the wedding. Do I really have to run?

Answer

Absolutely not! You’re more than welcome to join us even if you’re not running—feel free to walk along or cheer on participants from the sidelines. Coffee and donuts will be available for all attendees. Katie and Sam would love to see their guests there, no matter how you choose to participate.

Question

Will you have a shuttle service?

Answer

Yes! We’ll have shuttles running from The Fairmont to the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi to transport guests to Mass. Following Mass, shuttles will return everyone to The Fairmont for cocktail hour and the reception. The shuttle service will be available to all guests. Since The Fairmont and the National Shrine of Saint Francis of Assisi are only about a 7-minute drive apart, it will be a quick and easy ride 😊 More details about the shuttle service will be shared as we get closer to the wedding day.

Question

Is there parking at mass?

Answer

Because of the National Shrine of St. Francis of Assisi’s location in North Beach, parking in the immediate area can be a bit limited. There is no on-site parking, so we kindly recommend using a nearby paid garage (such as on Columbus Avenue or Broadway), street parking (metered or free when available), or public transportation. Rideshare services like Uber or Waymo can also be a convenient option and help make your arrival as smooth as possible.

Question

Is there parking at The Fairmont?

Answer

Yes, the Fairmont does offer both valet and self-parking in a connected garage (with the entrance at Powell & California). Please note that parking at the hotel can be on the pricier side, so guests may also wish to consider nearby street parking, which includes both metered and limited free options.
