We are having a McCarthy wedding 2.0! the new date is 2.12.22!

Ryan knew the Salvagno family before he knew Katie. As part of the 103 electrical union motorcycle club they would go on rides together. On September 16, 2018, Ryan and Katie met on the COPS motorcycle ride. From that day forward Katie's parents knew that her and Ryan would make a great couple. On November 2, 2018 Ryan texted Katie (thanks to Katie's mom giving him her number). And from then on, Ryan broke Katie out of her shell, taught her how to ski, took her on motorcycle rides every weekend, and brought her on their family vacation to Florida.

Katie and Ryan had talked about a life together and were serious about everything. Katie always joked about something "small and shiny." On November 24, 2019 at Loon mountain, the first ski trip of the year, the first run of the day, at the top of the mountain, Katie got something small and shiny.

In the midst of all the wedding planning and Katie finishing her undergrad, they bought their first home together in Merrimac, MA where they will continue to grow and make memories together.
