We had a few friends in common and frequented the same bars so we likely met several times, but the first time we actually spoke and flirted was on a Friday afternoon at Es Tas in February 2014 while he was on break from working at Welch Avenue Station. He invited me to attend the super bowl party he and his roommates planned to host. After the super bowl party, we were inseparable. A couple months after we met, we went on our first date a El Azteca restaurant, and it was super awkward! So we went to the bar where we felt more comfortable. Ryan waited patiently for me to be ready for a relationship again, and the more time we spent together the closer we became. After our friends wedding, where Ryan purposefully introduced me as his "friend", I knew I was ready. We fell in love and became best friends, and we can't wait to spend our lives together!

Ryan and I fancy ourselves hilarious comedians, and one of our hilarious bits inspired Ryan's proposal. When something outrageous would happen in life or on TV, if one of us said "snap!", the other said "crackle pop!". Hilarious right? Well, we had gone ring shopping together to pick out several engagement rings that we both liked. Ryan selected the engagement ring that I wear on my finger today! The day that the ring arrived, Ryan couldn't wait! It was a Friday afternoon the day before his birthday and I was working at home. He called me downstairs and upon arriving at the stairs, I found a sign that said "snap", at the bottom of the stairs was another sign that said "crackle", and in our family room Ryan was down on one knee with a sign on his shirt that said "pop", since he was popping the question! He asked me to marry him, and my first reaction was, "is this real?". When he convinced me that it was indeed real, I said "Yes!" We cannot wait to celebrate our marriage with everyone!
