Katie and Ryan first met in the summer of 2013 during preseason for soccer at Albany College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences. Ryan came to Katie's dorm room after soccer tryouts to fix her air conditioner unit. Katie knew at that moment she could only be so lucky to have Ryan in her life (he also brought a backpack full of beer that may have played a role). Ryan thought Katie was a pretty cool freshman too... mostly because she played soccer. They finally came to their senses and started dating on November 9, 2014.

Ryan and Katie graduated from pharmacy school in 2018 and 2019. They both completed pharmacy residencies and work as pharmacists in Syracuse, NY. Ryan and Katie love spending time with friends and family, going on hiking trips, watching Manchester United, and playing coed soccer together. They adopted their golden retriever Leo in 2020. On 7/11/2022 (Leo's birthday and Ryan's favorite convenient store), they moved into their first home in Brewerton, NY.

Ryan proposed to Katie while hiking at Carpenter Falls near Skaneateles, NY. Ryan planned the entire weekend, and Katie still tears up thinking about how perfect it was. Their golden retriever Leo and Katie’s sister were able to be there which made the proposal even more special.
