My grandma and Ryan's mom introduced us in 2015 when Ryan and I were both in nursing school. I drove five hours (from Radford, VA to Chattanooga, TN) to meet him for the first time. He asked me to be his girlfriend about a month later on 4/5/15 (on Easter) at Coolidge Park in Chattanooga.

It was important to Ryan to surprise me for the proposal. While vacationing with my grandma in South Carolina, we were taking pictures in a gazebo over the water, when he dropped to one knee to propose!
