Travel Note
The Charlottesville Albemarle Airport is located 20 minutes outside of town and has regular direct flights from New York, Charlotte, Atlanta, Chicago, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. If you're traveling by plane and need to catch a lift to your lodging, we recommend you bring cash (~$25+tip) because often times regular cabs in the cab queue outside of the airport are more readily available and faster than Ubers and Lyfts. Richmond International Airport is a roughly 75 minute drive to Charlottesville. Dulles International Airport is a two hour drive to Charlottesville and Reagan National Airport is a 2.5 hour drive to Charlottesville.
Shuttle

Castle Hill Cider is a 30 minute drive from Charlottesville. Shuttles will be provided to and from the locations listed below. There will be transportation guides at each pickup location to help direct you. Shuttle pickup is promptly at 4:00 PM, returning at 9:30 PM (early option) or 11:00 PM. Shuttle pick up locations, as of 10/20: #1: Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville UVA Medical Center (1201 West Main Street) #2: Hampton Inn & Suites (900 West Main Street) #3: Courtyard by Marriott Charlottesville (638 Hillsdale Drive) For anyone staying at the Draftsman, please walk across the street to pickup spot #1 Courtyard Marriott at 1201 West Main Street (don't worry - only 423 ft. from Draftsman), where your shuttle will be waiting for you!
Rental Car
While rideshare options like Uber and Lyft are available in Charlottesville, pickup and wait times are longer than typical. We recommend you budget for more time to allow yourself flexibility while getting around the city. If you're traveling by plane and need to catch a lift to your lodging, we recommend you bring cash (~$25+tip) because often times regular cabs in the cab queue outside of the airport are more readily available and faster than Ubers and Lyfts. Rental cars are also available in the area and may be best option if you plan to explore the city a lot!
