Katie and Paris met in the fall, just three days after she moved to Colorado. They became inseparable from the moment they met, spending their first few dates hiking, sharing sushi dinners, and exploring downtown Denver together.

On the anniversary of when they first met, Paris and Katie traveled to her hometown of Kansas City, Missouri. After a romantic dinner, Paris led Katie on a stroll through a nearby park, crossing a little bridge. As they reached the middle, Paris dropped to one knee to propose, and at the same time, "Dancing in the Moonlight" began to play from a speaker he'd set up in advance. Katie said "Yes!" and they started on their newest adventure together.
