Hailey and Katie have been friends since they were 10 and have spent the past decade planning parties, acting crazy, and having fun. It feels like just yesterday they were hanging up Dollar Tree decorations in Hailey’s parent’s basement to have the same 6 friends over for a new themed party. Katie knew those moments prepared Hailey to help plan the most amazing wedding!
Greta Burry

Katie and Greta have been friends for literally their entire lives (minus the 2 weeks where Katie was alive but Greta wasn’t born yet). Katie always knew Greta would be standing up there with her on her wedding day. When they were 12 they were CONVINCED they would become sisters one day by each marrying a Jonas Brother. And while they might not be Jonas Sisters, their lifelong friendship is truly something special and makes them part of each other’s families.
Grace Mullen

Katie and Grace have been friends since starting school together at St. James. Grace has been with Katie for most of the chapters of Katie’s life. They went to grade school together, captained the rugby team together in high school, and were roommates together at OU. Grace was even there for the development of Katie and Nick’s relationship - literally, the 3 of them went out to watch football together the day Nick asked Katie to be his girlfriend.
Allison Mazzeo

Katie and Allison have been friends since the day their moms met in 2004. Over the years, they have gone on many family trips together that have resulted in some amazing memories - like getting lost on the mountain on a ski trip or eating lunch at a 7/11 in Florida. Allison and Katie haven’t lived in the same city together since high school, but that hasn’t stopped them from having the best pick-up-where-you-left-off friendship that will certainly result in their own children being family friends one day.
Monick Chia

Katie and Monick met in law school where they had every class together their first year. The two quickly bonded over life’s finest things, like Latin American culture, their goofy boyfriends, and Pooh Bear. Katie and Monick have built a very strong friendship in only a few years and know there will be many more laughs and game nights with their ~husbands~ in their future.
Ariel Shuster

Katie and Ariel met in law school where they had every class together their first year. They started to really bond when they worked at the Ohio Innocence Project together. Since then, Katie and Ariel have built an amazing friendship founded on their love of cats, game nights, and wine. Katie knew Ariel was a true friend when she, a Miami grad, showed up to Katie’s birthday party in an OU shirt.
Amanda Parnell

Amanda is Nick’s older sister. Katie and Amanda quickly bonded over their love of the Jonas Brothers, playing games, and just having a good laugh. Amanda’s sense of humor has led to some of Katie’s favorite memories with Nick’s family - like using mustard as a microphone for an entire weekend in Nashville and taking chances on adventure-filled cabin trips. Katie loves that Nick is friends with his sisters, which has led to a genuine friendship between Amanda and Katie as well.
Allison Banks

Allison is Nick’s oldest sister. Allison and Katie bond over their love of sports and competition. This has led to some iconic memories cheering on the Bearcats at Notre Dame and many tailgates for Browns/Bengals games. Katie is grateful Allison’s husband is a Browns fan, which has made watching football together enjoyable. Katie loves that Nick is friends with his sisters, which has led to a genuine friendship between Allison and Katie as well.
Stephen Stafford
Best Man
Stephen and Nick met through Ohio University's pre-law fraternity, Phi Alpha Delta. Nick chose Stephen to be his "little," and the two quickly bonded over booze and the Bengals. When Stephen moved to Cincinnati to attend UC Law, they rekindled their friendship. Stephen and Nick continue to bond over the Bengals and the bar (whether it be the local bar or the legal bar).
Anthony Flowers

Anthony and Nick played basketball together throughout their childhood until Nick moved to Grandview his Junior year of high school. Anthony's drive and kick led to Nick's two most memorable buzzer beaters. They also snuck in an undefeated middle school tennis doubles season. Years later, when Nick and Anthony moved to Cincinnati for law school and medical school, their moms set them up on a date. They quickly rekindled a friendship based on competition anywhere they can find it.
Sam Ferguson

Sam and Nick met through Katie and Monick (Sam's fiancé). The two quickly hit it off over a shared love for games. Sam and Nick attend Reds games together, have board game nights with Katie and Monick, and spend hours playing video games online. Sam and Nick joke of opening Sam and Nick's Open-Faced Calzones (no, open-faced calzones are not just pizza). The idea becomes less of a joke with each discussion.
Joe Basalla

Joe is Katie's older brother. Joe and Nick bond over finding the fun in any situation. This trait is most commonly evidenced by the two sitting in the other room having a beer instead of helping clean up after lunch. Nick appreciates that Joe is always up for playing Kan Jam, Euchre, or one of Nick's made up games.
Vinny Basalla

Vinny is Katie's oldest brother. Vinny and Nick quickly bonded over sports and video games. Nick appreciates Vinny's sense of humor, which makes him a perfect target for a good prank. Nick once convinced Vinny a bar in Florida had a special on "rainbow trout shots." The bartender's confusion has led to many laughs over the years.
