Things To Do

Sweet Grass Dairy Cheese Shop

123 South Broad Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

One of our favorite spots in Thomasville is Sweet Grass Dairy Cheese Shop. This beloved local creamery is known for its handcrafted, award-winning cheeses made from grass-fed cows just outside of town. The Cheese Shop downtown is perfect for a relaxed lunch or casual dinner with beautiful cheese boards, sandwiches, and wine. It feels so “Thomasville” to us, local, charming, and absolutely delicious.

Liam's Restaurant

113 East Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

We love Liam’s! The cocktails and cheeseboards are amazing, and it’s such a fun spot to meet friends. We especially adore it during the holidays when it’s all beautifully decorated. It feels so festive and cozy!

Jonah's Fish & Grits

109 East Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

We love Jonah’s Fish & Grits! It’s a Matthews family favorite. The hushpuppies, shrimp and grits, and grouper tasso are all must-tries, SO yummy!

Empire Bagel & Delicatessen

221 West Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

My favorite bagel shop! A must try!

Grassroots Coffee

118 South Broad Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

As you know, Neill cannot start his day without at least three cups of coffee. This is always a favorite of ours. You can bring some coffee home with you!

SASS! The Sweet and Savory Sisters

420 West Jackson Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

A wonderful lunch spot in Thomasville. We always love taking our mom's here when we are all in town! We love their blend of cajun flair and southern hospitality!

Flowers Bakery Store

236 South Madison Street, Thomasville, GA 31792

If you’re spending time in Thomasville, one of my favorite little things is how amazing downtown smells, especially when Flowers Foods is baking. Every now and then, the air fills with the warm, sweet scent of fresh honey buns, and it’s honestly the best surprise as you’re walking around town. It’s such a cozy, nostalgic part of being here. This hometown bakery has grown into a nationally recognized company, producing well known brands like Nature's Own, Wonder Bread, Dave's Killer Bread, and Tastykake, including those delicious honey buns you might just smell in the air while you’re downtown. If you have time, you can even stop by their bakery store or take a tour for a behind the scenes look. It is a fun and uniquely local experience!
