What is the dress code?

Friday: Cocktail attire Saturday: Black tie! Think long gowns and tuxes. We can’t wait to see you in your best!

Although we love your children, we've chosen to have an adults-only wedding celebration. We appreciate your understanding and look forward to sharing our special day with our closest adult friends and family!

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Yes! Please see the “Schedule” page for details on our welcome party, which will be held on Friday, August 21, at the amazing Monarch Rooftop in downtown Detroit!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Yes, we are happy to accommodate most food allergies and dietary restrictions! Please ensure you let us know in advance.

Likely hot (and potentially humid). But it's Michigan, so you never know!

Where is the welcome party taking place?

Answer

The Monarch Club! It is an indoor/outdoor rooftop. Stop by for a drink and bite to eat to kick off our wedding weekend!

Where is the wedding ceremony and reception taking place?

Answer

Both the ceremony and reception will be held at the Detroit Institute of Arts. Everything will be inside, so no need to worry about rain! (But fingers crossed for sunshine.)

How should I get to the wedding venue?

Answer

We will have transportation from either the Westin Book Cadillac or Hotel Indigo. Details to come!

The ceremony starts promptly at 6:15.

Do you have an entree selection recommendation?

Answer

Although all of the options are excellent, we love the soba noodles with marinated tofu! Highly recommend :)
