Salty Sow
Our favorite spot for an indulgent night out. Bone marrow, pate, fried chicken, truffled deviled eggs. Yerm! Make a reservation if you're going on a Friday or Saturday night. They also have a delicious and very affordable happy hour!
Dai Due
$$$, but hands-down the best pork chop in the nation. We recommend making a reservation at least 2 weeks in advance.
Terry Black's Barbecue
Texas-style BBQ. We promise the line moves fast. Don't make plans after--you'll need a nap.
St. Elmo Brewing Company
Tasty Texas Beer. Fried Chicken Sandwiches. Lots of bars/food trucks nearby in The Yard.
La Palapa Restaurant
Tex Mex with fun cocktails and floating beers. Katie's favorite burrito spot. She will demolish you in an eating contest. Mike loves the fajita steak quesadilla.

One of Austin's super-walkable areas. Stroll down South Congress for vintage finds, boutiques (Noah Marion is Katie's fav!) accessories, cowboy boots/hats, and trendy lunch spots (we recommend Mediterranean food at Aba).
Littlefield's Tacos + Coffee
Very kid-friendly spot for tacos and coffee. Large, grassy field for kids to run around on (thus the name)
