Guests invited to the wedding will be addressed by name on the invitation and as a part of your "party" on the save the date.
Children not addressed by name on the invitation and save the date are not permitted to attend. Children in attendance have been pre-approved by the bride and groom as they are a part of the wedding party. Below are the policies set by the venue: At Shawnee, we are proud to provide a unique setting where families can spend quality time together. For everyone’s safety and enjoyment we kindly ask that children be supervised and well behaved in public guest spaces such as dining rooms, guest room hallways, recreation and pool areas. We also request that you supervise your children when enjoying the outdoors to ensure a safe and enjoyable place for everyone.
Please wear comfortable shoes you can walk in as the ceremony will be taking place outside. Shoes are required to be worn at all times, including the dance floor. Jeans, sneakers, and white dresses are not permitted to be worn. We recommend appropriate neck lines and skirt/dress lengths. Dresses, blouses, suits, tuxedos, polo shirts, button-up shirts, khakis, and dress pants with dress shoes are considered appropriate attire. While we are excited for a Halloween wedding, no costumes are permitted. Confetti and glitter are also not permitted.
Below are the policies set by the venue: The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort has three restaurants, a coffee/gift shop, and an assortment of fine wines, cocktails, and assorted beers. Guests are not permitted to bring their own alcoholic beverages or food, should outside food and beverage be brought in, it will be removed. Food provided during the reception must stay in the reception areas. PLEASE NOTE: Valid IDs are required for any guest consuming alcohol. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort reserves the right to refuse service to any person who appears to be intoxicated. No one under twenty-one (21) years of age will be served alcoholic beverages. The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort reserves the right to ask for identification from any and all guests.
Shawnee Inn is smoke free. This policy includes cigarettes, vaping, cannabis products and paraphernalia. Medical marijuana is legal for approved medical patients in Pennsylvania with proper patient certification. We request that any smoking and/or vaping is done a minimum 20 feet from any entrance to a building. Consequences: Violation of any component of this policy will result in a $250.00 fine applied to the guestroom. Katie and Maxin will not be held liable for expenses incurred.
Quiet hours begin at 11:00pm. Please be respectful of others guests at The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort.
Conduct: The wedding guest is responsible for their own conduct including the cost of any damages incurred upon the resort by the individual, their guest, or their dependents. This includes the responsibility to replace or repair at 100% cost, any damages/breakage/burns or theft to property. Katie and Maxin will not be held liable for any expenses incurred. Liability: The Shawnee Inn and Golf Resort is not responsible for personal articles left unattended in any facility during an event or left after the conclusion of the event.
