Katie was hanging out with her cousin Jess when they met Bobby and Matt at Iron Hill in Media in December 2016. We had a few drinks at different bars around Media and went home. The next day Matt texted Jess to ask about Katie (Mare, Jess's Mom, was super excited). Katie slid into Matt's DM's and the rest is history minus the brief break up in early 2017 (Katie's fault, good thing we recovered).

June 11 and the days leading up to it, were full of a lot of different emotions. A few weeks prior, Matt and Katie planned a day at Penn’s Landing to celebrate the end of the school year and her birthday. As the day approached, Katie wanted no parts of going since the weather wasn’t going to be that nice. Matt was adamant about going to Cherry Street Pier, and the beer garden that he “desperately” wanted to check out. The night before, Katie is texting her best friend Caitlin, asking if Matt said anything about proposing, but Caitlin stood strong with an answer of “I don’t know anything”. Katie spent all night Thursday and most of Friday going back and forth as to get her nails done. Katie gets her nails done, Matt picks her up and they are on their way to Philly. Matt and Katie had a few drinks and snacks at the beer garden before heading over to Race Street Pier for some pictures. Matt wants to take a picture of just the two of them, sets up the camera, walks over to Katie, and gets down on one knee to ask her to marry him. Thankfully, she said yes! Little did Matt know, Katie knew something was going on and was looking at his pockets for the ring the entire time.
