Nicole Wright

Maid of Honor

Shortly after mom and dad brought Katie home from the hospital as a baby, Nicole asked when she'd be going back. Mom and dad explained that Katie wasn't going anywhere, and Nicole begrudgingly accepted that her only-child life had come to an end. Nicole learned to love having a younger sibling, someone she could guide, mentor, and boss around. We used to play school- Nicole was the teacher, and Katie was the student. She assigned book reports, math homework, science projects- and sent teacher's notes home to mom and dad. While it wasn't Katie's first choice for playtime, Nicole's home schooling is the reason Katie was reading before kindergarten and doing long division in first grade. Nicole may have been a tough teacher, but she's always been a great sister and friend.

Mike Udasin

Best Man

Matt has known Mike since the day he was born. Matt fondly recalls putting mud rocks in Mike's stroller- Mike was not too thrilled about that. Mike and Matt played a lot of "cops and robbers" as kids, roaming around the yard in their Ford Fisher Price cars. On many occasions, accidents were had, and someone wound up run-over by the other. Matt and Mike spent countless hours together as children. Mike was so fond of Matt that he once wrote in an essay, "People with big heads have big brains. That's why my brother has a little head." Matt and his little head are very excited to have Mike and his big head standing next to him at the altar.

Emily Wright

Matron of Honor

There is no one on the planet who makes Katie laugh harder than her sister, Emily. Emily is embarrassment proof, which makes for interesting encounters in public. She has no problem making a spectacle of herself, and was born with a sense of curiosity that has provided hours of entertainment. Like the time she microwaved a potato chip with a raspberry on it, "just to see what happens." Sparks. Sparks are what happened. Or the time she wanted to "swing like Tarzan" from the banister at the top of the stairs, and tied a bunch of our dad's ties together to make a vine. Or the JalapeƱo Cheeto Incident of '09 (she knows...). Emily never takes herself too seriously, and helps Katie to lighten up a bit, too. Katie is looking forward to having Emily's cool, calm presence on her wedding day.

Josh Lupo

Best Man

Matt has known Josh since he was a senior in college (Matt's FIRST senior year of college). Some would say you don't really know a man until you've spent two hours drinking chocolate milk and doing hot yoga. It may sound disturbing to some, but for Matt and Josh, that's just a Tuesday. Matt and Josh lived together for several years and watched each other grow up. Matt was bestowed the honor of being Josh's best man on his wedding day. Matt is so thankful that Josh has agreed to return the favor.

Timothy Wright

Bridesman

Katie is so excited to have her brother by her side at her wedding. Ever since he was little, Timothy has been a learner and a collector of information that interests him. He memorized and learned to draw the flags of a hundred countries when he was five. He became obsessed with reality television- especially American Idol. The passion paid off and grew into a successful career editing reality television. Katie has always admired Tim's clarity about what he wants and how he is going to get there. He is brave and outspoken- never afraid to start a political debate, and always stands up for what is right and good. He is a man of many talents, including recently learning how to play the guitar. We are so grateful that Tim has agreed to play our ceremony music!

Dan Moore

Groomsman

Matt has known Dan since the day he was born. One of Matt's best memories of Dan is when Matt's dad gave Dan a mohawk (Aunt Sheryl was thrilled). Matt and Dan have spent many years on opposite sides of a hockey rivalry. Dan would tell you that he is on the winning side of that rivalry as an Islanders fan. Matt would tell you that the statistics say otherwise. Despite Dan's misguided hockey fandom, Matt is thrilled to have his cousin by his side on his wedding day.

Liam C.

Ring Bearer

Liam is one of Matt and Katie's all time favorite people. Whether we are hiking, crafting, running around in a sprinkler, or watching musicals together, we always have the best time. Liam is smart, kind, and one of the most thoughtful kids you'll ever meet. One of the very first things we did after we got engaged was call Liam to ask if he wanted to be a part of our wedding. We couldn't imagine this special day without Liam as a part of it! It's no surprise that Liam is the coolest little kid because his moms are awesome, and happen to be two more of our favorite people. If you are looking for Liam or the bride during the reception, you will likely find us at the doughnut wall.

Eliza C.

Flower Girl

When you have moms like Cat and Melissa, and a big brother like Liam, it's sort of expected that you will be just as cool as the rest of the family. Eliza does not disappoint. She is happy, curious, and down for an adventure. So many things make this little girl happy (especially Uncle Matt's antics), and that is good news because her smile is the best. She loves animals, climbing, finding her way into things she's not supposed to be getting into, and riding on mommy or mama's back during hikes. We are so excited that she is going to be part of our special day.

Oscar

Best Dog

Katie adopted Oscar in November of 2015 and they immediately became best buds. Until... Katie started dating Matt a few months later and Oscar had a new favorite person. He is our shadow- Oscar needs to know where we are and what we are doing at all times. He's happy as long as he is with his pals. Oscar loves car rides, doggy day camp, whatever Matt is eating, barking for attention, howling with his Uncle Timmy, and his backyard. He might be the neediest pup on the entire planet, but he is the best brindle beauty in the world and we can't imagine life without him. Katie fell in love with Matt while watching him fall in love with Oscar.
