Thanks to the help of a little bumble bee, Katie and Matt matched on a cold January evening after swiping right on each other. After a short conversation about who knew the best spot for tacos and which peanut butter is the superior option; Matt had an easy but brilliant idea to suggest two first dates. The goal: to truly see who knew the best place for tacos. (We still have very different opinions about which peanut butter is more superior but at least this way we never have to share a jar!)

After spending a week in SF for work, Matt planned an adventure day for the two of them that weekend. (This is something they regularly did for each other, so it wasn't out of the ordinary. ) The "plan": spend the day outside, learning how to play ultimate frisbee. (Excuse me, what!?) Little did Katie know that this was all a hoax. After a pleasant drive up to NH, this led them to the Zorvino winery, where they spent an afternoon enjoying wine and appetizers. Before she knew it, they were walking the grounds of the winery, and Matt popped the question! (Cue lots of happy tears!) On the way back to the entrance of the winery, Katie's family jumped out and surprised her! Matt had planned for them to join in the celebrations at the winery and dinner in Portsmouth, NH. (Cue lots of happy tears x2!)
