What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

Answer

Our wedding will be Black Tie Optional. We encourage guests to dress elegantly while keeping in mind that our celebration will be in an outdoor garden setting. For gentlemen, tuxedos are welcome as well as formal suits and ties. For women, floor-length gowns, tea-length dresses, or elegant suiting are all appropriate and welcome. Where should I stay?

Answer

We have a room block at The Salamander Resort with discounted rates for our guests. Details on booking can be found on our Travel & Accommodations page. Additional hotels are also listed, and there are commercial options near Dulles International Airport (about 30 minutes away).

Should I book my hotel early?

Answer

Yes! Middleburg is a popular wedding destination, and there are multiple weddings happening the same weekend. We highly recommend booking as soon as you’re comfortable to ensure availability.

Will the wedding be indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Our ceremony and cocktail hour will be held outdoors in a beautiful garden setting. We recommend wearing comfortable shoes for walking on grass and bringing a light layer in case of cooler evening temperatures. To follow, our reception dinner, dancing, and late-night snack will take place on the tented patio.

Answer

To keep our celebration intimate, we are only able to include the children listed on the invitation. We hope you can enjoy a night off and celebrate with us!

Yes! We’ll be serving a selection of spirits, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic options throughout the evening.

Do you have any vegetarian, vegan, or gluten-free meal options?

Answer

Yes! Our menu will include a variety of options to accommodate different dietary needs. If you have any specific restrictions, please let us know when you RSVP.

Will there be transportation to and from the venue?

Answer

Yes! Shuttles will be available at each hotel to transport guests to and from the venue on the wedding day. Transportation will depart from all hotels on Saturday, May 23 at 3:30 PM and return at the end of the evening. Guests are also welcome to drive and park at the venue, use a rideshare service, or carpool if they’d prefer the flexibility to arrive or leave outside of the shuttle schedule.
