It was the end of September in 2016, Katie and Lou were both members at L.A Fitness in Farmingdale. Katie had noticed Lou's presence at the gym (as he would go to the gym very frequently). Little did Katie know, Lou had been crushing on her since the beginning of summer and had told all of his friends that she was his absolute dream girl. He remembers to this day, how when he first saw Katie he stopped in his tracks to admire how beautiful she was. Somehow Katie found Lou on social media and was bold enough to ask him when he would take her out on a date. Lou still remembers exactly where he was in that moment, he had to pull over on the side of the road because he couldn't believe he received a message from his dream girl. They arranged a day to meet (at the gym of course.. how fitting) They barely worked out and wound up talking in the parking lot for 6+ hours, to the point where their parents were searching for them because they didn't come home. From that day on, Katie and Lou went on three dates that same week and the rest is history. We've been together almost 9 years and can't wait to marry each other in front of all our family and friends.

It was three days before Katie's 29th birthday, and all she wanted was for Lou to propose. It was the morning of August 9th, Lou wanted to suprise Katie that day. He told her to "be ready in a nice outfit" and to leave her house by 4pm to go out. Lou called her shortly before, told her his car broke down at Robert Moses beach while on a run (a believable story) and asked her to come pick him up. When she got to the beach, she saw a note on Lou's car that said "walk down the path to the lighthouse". From that moment on, Katie's heart started racing. As she walked down the path, she heard someone call to her from above, and there Lou was. It was the longest walk of her life! But as she got up the stairs, Lou got down on one knee and asked his dream girl to spend the rest of her life with him. It was the easiest "YES!" she ever said. After taking pictures and enjoying the moment together, Lou surprised Katie by taking her out to dinner with both sets of parents to celebrate. It was truly a perfect day and so special to celebrate with our families. We can't wait to see you all and celebrate with you! With Love, Lou and Katie
