LIBERTY TERRACE IS NOT A PERSON. I AM NOT GETTING MARRIED. Liberty Terrace is the name of the street my house is on. Although I do find it hilarious that "Liberty Terrace" could plausibly be someone's actual name and can't wait until I start getting mail addressed to "Liberty Soh" or "The Soh-Terrace Family"
She's moving with me! She's got 3 more years of residency here so she'll keep living with me until it's time for her to go off and do a fellowship
How else was I supposed to do this?? They don't have free websites for house warming! Besides, don't pretend you don't think this is hilarious.
Easton PA. About 1.5 hrs from both NYC and Philly. I feel weird about posting the address here where anyone could see it, but it shouldn't be to hard to find if you're willing to do some light Google sleuthing. Alternatively, you could just text me and I'll send you the address :)
I closed Aug 15th! Hoping to be fully moved in by September (the lease on our apt ends Sep 30th so we've got plenty of time), although it'll take some time for me to find and purchase all the furniture I want.
Yes, I would love that! I've got plenty of space so bring the whole fam!
Listen, I get it. I know you're all out there on Zillow looking up how much peoples' houses cost; it's in the public record so there's no where to hide. So, to save you some time: I purchased this home for $610k
Again, I get it. You saw that sticker price and this was the first question on your mind. And since I know you're thinking it anyway, I might as well answer: 1. A Master's from a well-known university and a career in pharmaceuticals 2. 20% down payment that took YEARS of saving, including 3 years living rent-free in Provo, aggressive saving generally, and a big severance payout when I left my old job 3. Student loans and car have long since been paid off, so I have no debt 4. I have no children. Those lil' tykes are expensive!
Well, I got better than the 7% I was expecting, so I'm happy. But basically all the lenders I talked to said they expect rates to go down in a few years and everyone will refinance. Not much I can do about any of that, though, and I decided it wasn't worth trying to "time the market" to wait for a better rate.
I'm not asking. I can afford to furnish my house. I've never had a bridal shower or wedding reception when home-filling gifts are often given (nor am I likely to ever) and, honestly, I've had to buy a lot of this kind of stuff for myself already. But I've been asked by people I love if there is something they can give me as a house warming gift, so here we are. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO GIVE ME ANYTHING I STILL LOVE YOU THE SAME.
I don't want you to get me something just to get me something. If you have an idea for a gift that you think I'll like, I will glady accept. Even if you just text me a picture of your family or us together that I can print out and hang on my fridge, I would love it! Also, I'm not picky about brands, typically, so if you see something similar to what I have on my registry but it's from a different store, I won't be upset! :)
