Larry and Katie met while taking an Anatomy class in college where they both attended and graduated nursing school together. They both became registered nurses in 2019-just in time for the pandemic. Together, they have been through it all. Larry and Katie have experienced many life changing moments together from starting a career, navigating a pandemic where they lost his precious mom in the process. Today they are soon to be married and plan to have a family in the not to distant future.

Little backstory first! We had taken a trip to Colorado exactly 6 months before the proposal and it was the best trip we had taken thus far. While we were there, I made a comment about how wonderful it would be to get engaged in the most picturesqe place I have ever been. So Larry decided to make it happen. He booked a trip back to my favorite place, and even brought my best friend, his brother & sister-n-law and his cousin. On May 7th, he popped the question. May 7th holds a such a special place in our hearts as it was his mothers birthday and this was the first birthday without her. Larry knew that she would want nothing more than for him to pick that day. He even got my ring engraved with that date and now I have a beautiful reminder of the memories I have with Derrall and the picture perfect memory of our engagement.

We don't want anything fancy, just love. Before we say I do, we want to celebrate with all of you- our family and friends. Though we are eloping, know your love and friendship will be in our hearts as we say “I DO”. So please join us in celebrating what is sure to be an incredible start to the rest of our lives together. We are gathering at Harlan Acres in Chatsworth, GA. We will serve amazing food, beverages (to include some for the adults) and some good old fun and fellowship!
