We were introduced in Calhoun Square in Downtown Savannah while celebrating St. Patrick's Day 2017. Our mutual friends, Ashley and Ricky, thought we would be a great match and arranged us running into each other that day. It wasn't long before we figured out we had a lot in common including the fact we both had dogs named Tucker. We feel God crossed our paths for a very special reason that day.
Kyle surprised me with an amazing proposal in Calhoun Square, the same place where we had met 15 months prior. He convinced me we would be meeting some friends of his who were passing through town for dinner and would be waiting for them in the square adjacent to where they were staying. We sat down on a bench in the square and were talking when I realized it was the square we had met in and mentioned how special it was. That's when he kneeled down and pulled out the ring. He said it was about to become even more special to us and asked me to marry him! During and after Kyle proposed, photos were taken by a photographer he had arranged. Next, we went to a romantic dinner at Husk where champagne was waiting for us at a special table. After dinner, we went down to a favorite rooftop bar of ours, Top Deck. I thought we were heading there to take some more engagement photos with the sunset in the background. I walked through the door and saw all of our closest friends and family standing on the patio waiting for us. We spent the next few hours smiling, laughing, and enjoying the company of everyone. It was truly a day and night we will cherish forever!
