We met in Ancient History class senior year of high school and began exchanging letters in the hallway. Despite having a bunch of mutual friends, we never had the chance to get to know each other. Soon we discovered our mutual love of film and our friendship developed through showing each other our favorite movies. We were going off to separate colleges, but we didn't want to give each other up. Now the rest is ancient history!

Katie planned Kurt a lovely birthday weekend with a surprise dinner at 'Ohana. Kurt wanted to completely catch Katie off-guard and, with some intel from her father, hijacked her plans. After waiting twenty minutes for a random man to leave the scene, Kurt proposed to Katie privately by the water. That evening we enjoyed complimentary champagne at Trader Sam's Tiki Bar and watched the Magic Kingdom fireworks while eating dinner at the hotel.
