Summer Semi-Formal Attire is desired. For men, this means a lightweight suit and tie-and feel free to add a Western touch, like a bolo tie, or cowboy hat. For women, a dress in midi or maxi length. Since the event is outdoors, we suggest choosing attire that’s stylish yet comfortable for the Montana landscape. This is a rustic ranch so keep that in mind when picking shoes ladies! Block heels, wedges, or flats are the way to go.
For the Welcome Drinks on Friday, cocktail attire is desired. Feel free to westernize in any way with a bolo tie, cowboy hat, etc.
Weather permitting, the ceremony as well as cocktail hour will be outside-overlooking the beautiful mountain range. The reception will be inside of the barn.
In late June, the weather in Montana is gorgeous! It’s typically sunny, with daytime temperatures ranging from the mid-60s to low 80s (°F). Evenings can be cooler, dropping into the high 50s, so it’s a good idea to bring a light jacket or sweater.
Yes! Ubers are scarce around town and in the Valley. This area of Montana is not public transit friendly. We do strongly recommend renting a car to be able to explore during your trip, but we will of course be offering shuttles to and from wedding related activities. Please see the “Friday and Saturday Shuttle Itinerary” tab for more details. If you do choose to drive to the ceremony, there is ample space for parking at the wedding venue. Please use caution when leaving the ceremony, roads are dark with no street lighting and wildlife often present.
To allow all wedding guests, including parents, a weekend of relaxation and uninhibited revelry, we respectfully ask that no children under the age of 10 years attend the wedding ceremony & reception. But please know that all are welcome for our welcome drinks on Friday!
Please arrive 15-30 minutes before the ceremony start time of 5pm to ensure you’re seated and ready by 4:45pm. We'll have passed champagne for guests upon arrival to kick off the evening.
The venue is at the Yellowstone Valley Lodge-just south of Livingston, down in Paradise Valley. Address noted below: 3840 US-89, Livingston, MT 59047
