We met at his work, Waffle House. I was the traveling chemist for my company at the time and was in Greenville after an instrumentation issue in Florence. I started making myself a regular at Waffle House because I could drink coffee and work. He was always the best cook there, so after I had gone there a few times it was only natural that we started to talk. He was my best friend first and the love of my life not long after. PS--his hashbrowns are still the best ones!

Halloween has always been special to me. It is my favorite holiday as it is the only time of year that you can be whoever you want to be for a single night. It is also one of the few holidays I can remember as a kid where everyone in my family was together every year--no illness separated us. Kenneth knew this and made sure that this day became even more special for me.
