Question

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Welcome Party: Casual Wedding: Cocktail Attire - suits or blazers for men and elegant dresses or jumpsuits for women. Please no white. For those wearing heels, the venue is mostly turf.

Question

Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?

Answer

The ceremony will take place outside in the secluded garden of the Twin Oaks House and Garden Estate. The Reception will be in a grand tented pavilion at the same location. If it gets too cold, it can be heated. If you're sensitive to the cold then feel free to bring a jacket just in case

Question

What's the weather like?

Answer

Weather in Mid-April in San Diego is estimated to be highs of 73° / lows of 51°. With the low humidity, it's generally warmer than expected in the sun and cooler than expected in the shade.

Question

Hotel and transportation to and from the wedding venue

Answer

There are two hotel blocks with discount links, please view them on the Travel page. There will also be a shuttle from the Ayres Hotel to the venue, departing sharply at 3:45pm. The shuttle will have two departure times from the venue back to the Ayres Hotel, one at 9:00pm for those who want to retire early and the main departure after the wedding at 10:15pm. The venue has plenty of free parking if you plan on driving, and you can leave your car overnight as long as you pick it up by noon the following day. No drinking and driving. Ubers/Lyfts are available but we recommend scheduling rides ahead of time just in case.

Question

Do I need to bring my ID?

Answer

Yes! Especially if you are planning on drinking.

Question

Can I take photos during the ceremony?

Answer

We ask that you put your phones and cameras away during the ceremony as we want you all to be present with us in the moment. We have a professional photographer capturing the ceremony for us. Other than the ceremony, yes! Please feel free to take as many photos and videos as you like.
