It all started when Josh and I played soccer for West Academy sports in high school... Funny enough, Josh first thought I was Rebekah, my sister, on first seeing me on the soccer team. Gradually a friendship grew, and Josh decided pretty quickly he liked this girl. Before graduating in May, Josh timidly asked me out. I may have made Josh agonizingly wait a month before giving him a yes.... The first lunch was wrought with nerves, yet on March 1, 2016, we officially started to date. And so the adventure began...
Because of our long distance relationship, we must plan a lot. Yet, Josh still managed to surprise me! After a long day of nursing school classes, I rushed out of my apartment on my way to meet Josh in Lexington. I knew that he would probably propose to me over the weekend. Before I left town, my friends had convinced me to go to a new coffee shop with them. I followed them to this new coffee shop location which was actually a park. As I was walking to the "coffee shop," there Josh was in a pavilion. Completely surprised and bursting with tears, we embraced. Josh gave me a album of pictures from our past four years of dating. At the end of the album was the question. He got down on one knee and proposed! And I said YES! Funny enough, in the excitement and emotion, I tackled Josh in a hug and clumsily knocked the ring from Josh's hand.
