This is a must-see for us! This is a drive-thru tour through a national wildlife refuge where you can see bison, coyotes, and most importantly, prairie dogs, up close! We recommend going near sunset to see the most animals. We also HIGHLY recommend listening to the Refuge Podcast (linked on their website) as you complete the drive-thru tour.
Interested in breathtaking mountain views? Visit the Alpine Visitor Center via Trail Ridge Road to see the top of the Rocky Mountains. Click the "View" button below to see the route in Google Maps. Pro tips: -You will need a Park Pass to see this attraction. Learn more about fees and passes for entering RMNP here: https://www.nps.gov/romo/planyourvisit/fees.htm -Bring a jacket, no matter the forecast! It's usually 20 degrees colder at the top of the mountain. - Be sure to check the Rocky Mountain National Park website (www.nps.gov/romo) before heading up the mountain! Trail Ridge Road closes before the first snowfall, making the visitor center inaccessible.
