They say when the time is right, you just know. That's how we felt after all these years, because it could not have been more perfect. When we started reconnecting it was like we had never been apart and that spark that has always been there, caught fire. When Katie first reached out to me it was like getting back a best friend who I hadn't seen in years. It seemed that every trial we had gone through separately had prepared us for our time together and truly lead us back to one another. After a month or so of late night phone calls, texts, and even hand written letters, I knew I had to get to her and never let go. I showed up at her store with coffee and saw her smile-- that's when the butterflies got a hold of me. After many late nights driving, flying, and talking we realized that this had not been in our timing at all but we were part of an even bigger story. When I realized that Katie was the one I was meant to be with, what more could I do than ask her to spend forever with me? So after a fun filled weekend of showing me off to family and friends and showing me where she grew up, we ended up on top of Mt. Echo looking over beautiful Cincinnati. As I was holding Katie watching the sunlight sparkle off her gorgeous brown eyes, I whispered in her ear "Hey, I've got a question for you?" That's when I asked my best friend to be by my side for the rest of my life. After a scream and a shove of excitement in true Katie fashion - she agreed to be my partner in this crazy ride called life. So, after all the good times, bad times, fun times, and sad times that we have both had to deal with through out the years. It was all worth it - little did we know we were a part of a bigger story together than we could have ever imagined apart. God truly wrote our love story. “As for God, His way is perfect." PSALM 18:30
